Today's businesses become more competitive due to rapid change and globalization. Competition in both local and international markets require an excellent distribution network as a must. By the rapid change in development of information technologies, business processes are changed, as well as, customers accelerate their expectation. We start to notice more and more impatient customers in the market, and customers start to inquire different channels delivery. In order to survive in such a challenging environment, logistics and logistics management are becoming increasingly important. Logistics deal with procurement of raw materials, their delivery to the production environment, storage of raw material as well as finished goods, and distribution channels, which are also important activities within a supply chain. These changes increase the importance of logistics both in Turkey, as a bridge between east and west, and globally. Therefore, we do see strong Logistics programs in both national and international universities.
Aim of the Program
The purpose of Logistics Management Department is to train qualified individuals who can adapt to the changing and developing conditions of Turkey and the world in logistics.
Program Structure
In order to graduate from Bahçeşehir University, it is necessary to complete a course load of 130 credits/240 ECTS. Our students take the necessary basic courses (such as economics, accounting, statistics, mathematics) in the first two years. All courses are compulsory in the first two years. Starting from the third year; Our student starts to take elective courses in addition to the compulsory courses required for this branch. The elective courses in the third year are General Elective courses and these courses aim to strengthen the student's view of the world and provide additional skills (such as foreign language, philosophy, history, music). The student can also take the COOP courses given by the sector officials as an elective.

Program Goals
Logistics Management Program educates individuals who have the ability to analyze, make decisions and produce solutions. Our graduates are also sensitive to the sustainability value of their decisions in terms of social, economic and environmental aspects, and they are individuals with high technology awareness, communication skills and a sense of responsibility towards the society they live in. They know the value of entrepreneurial courage as well as scientific knowledge and the methods of making it work.
They know that the logistics field is a common field of engineering (industry, business, mathematics, software), law and management sciences, and they have enough field knowledge to solve joint problems with their colleagues from these disciplines.
They can calculate the social, economic and environmental sustainability value of a proposed logistics solution.
They can develop solutions knowing that operational capabilities are as important as managerial skills in analysis and problem detection.
They know the historical dynamics and current problems of the society and geography they live in and can establish a connection with the logistics field.
