Abstract

In this study, Y2Ba3Cu5Ox and its 12 nearby compositions were investigated by employing different annealing conditions extracted from their own DTA/TGA results. Resistance measurements were carried under vacuum using the standard four probe technique with a d.c. current of 1 mA. DTA/TGA, XRD, SEM-EDAX and IR absorption measurements were carried out on all samples. The results indicate that anomalous resistive transitions have close relation with the thermal history and the stoichiometry of the sample.
