Abstract

Quantitative analysis of the articles published in the journals that are indexed in Citation Index, established by Institute for Scientific Information, is taken into consideration on performing scientific evaluation of persons, institutions and countries. Periodical quantitative analysis of these articles by their institutions is important with respect to determination of their future aims and plans. In this article, an analysis of the articles of the Department of Pediatrics of Gulhane Military Medical Academy published in the journals indexed by Science Citation Index through the end of 2005 is made, and their contribution to the articles originating from the Education Hospital of the Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Ankara is discussed.
