Abstract
A glass in the BSCCO system with nominal Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+y composition was prepared by the melti-quenching (glass) method and then converted into glass-ceramic form. The IR properties of both glass and glass-ceramic and impurities obtained in glass-ceramic system were analysed. Features of crystallisation, active phonon modes of the system and the impurities have been evidenced in the IR spectra of the system.
