N2 - Classroom management does not only mean to sit quietly or do whatever teachers require from students, but it consists of creating a classroom environment that supports both academic and emotional learning. For Generation Alpha, teachers might feel helpless in finding ways to teach students to take responsibility of their own learning. Compared to X, Y, and Z generation, this generation have some specific and distinct needs, and as a result, the way it has always been done may not work anymore. This chapter aimed to help teachers learn how to adapt their classroom management strategies regarding needs and interests of them. Self-management is one of the effective ways for teachers to become a mentor or a guide. Self-management strategies can foster students' independence, self-monitoring and self-evaluation. They help students to complete tasks and be active in the class. In this way, teachers adapt the ways to facilitate learning while children are exploring or creating in the classroom. This chapter also tried to help teachers gain an understanding about creating a classroom environment, which fosters creativity, leadership skills and critical thinking of Generation Alpha. The chapter also tried to help teachers learn the ways to turn their traditional classroom management strategies to self-management strategies, which enhance collaboration and innovation via changing norms and let students create and explore.
